Authentication and Authorization are easily confused concepts. This time the speaker will show you a real-world example of Pairs. Besides, the application Pair's login and ID management using Facebook graph API, Facebook account kit and Kakao SDK will be introduced.

Web Authentication Essentials
Authentication is crucial for all modern web apps, but it's not easy.
Modern web apps don't just span a monolithic back-end server anymore, single page apps and mobile apps ramp up the traffic that needs to be authenticated by an order of magnitude, and hackers are getting more sophisticated.
This talk tries to follow the changing concept of authentication in the world of client-side SPAs and microservices.
Boaz Yaniv is Rakuten's lead architect who is passionate about security and cryptography. Linguist and Humanities specialist by training, he found himself working on authentication solutions - first for the Israeli government then for Rakuten, Inc.. After spending the last seven years designing Authentication systems, he still cannot stop enjoying doing that.
