Talk 1: TailwindCSS - how to make css great again

Description

Tailwind CSS is a highly customizable, low-level CSS framework that gives you all of the building blocks you need to build bespoke designs without any annoying opinionated styles you have to fight to override. The speaker will demonstrate how you can build beautiful UIs without touching CSS at all via live coding.

This talk is for everyone. For beginners who have never done CSS and for CSS pros. Everyone will find something useful for themselves.

Speaker

Dariusz Czajkowski is a front and back-end developer from Kraków, Poland. He works mostly on the web, making websites for clients all around the world. Dariusz is active in the open-source space, creating packages, fixing issues and helping others with programming.

Talk 2: Animation with React, Step by Step

Description

Animating in React can be difficult, because of the lack of built-in support. Many libraries provide animations, but “there ain't no such thing as a free lunch”.

The speaker will walk through how to implement some difficult animations with React via live coding. A page transition effect, drag-and-drop layout animation using the FLIP technique, and a cool radial menu will be demonstrated. No animation libraries will be used.

This talk needs basic understanding about front-end and hence best suited for those with 1-3 years experience.

Lachlan is a Design Technologist at Indeed. He works closely with designers to produce high fidelity prototypes. With a strong interest in UX and tools for the modern web in hand, he strives to get the details right.
