Introduction to WebHack #22
Slides would be available online right before the meetup, so it’s not the worst idea to bring your laptop.
Talk 1: Debug iOS with LLDB
Description
- Why LLDB (low level debugger)?
- How LLDB works?
- LLDB OSS
- Custom LLDB command
- Demo
Speaker
stinge is working at Mercari. He will share his experience about lldb in development. Learning how to use lldb in Xcode runtime can save your time of development and keep your code clean. lldb is not confusing but interesting! stinge always enjoys in challenges and improves his technical skills. He is from Taiwan and learning Japanese. He likes cooking and traveling, now he is reading a Japanese novel 「君の名は」。
Talk 2: Approximate Computing: What and Why?
Description
This talk is going to discuss “Approximate Computing” which is a computing technique that aims to reduce the power, time and resources used in computing systems (hardware, software, memory interactions). In order to do so, this technique exploits the fact that most programs are error tolerant and they execute their results more accurately than needed. The way approximate computing works is quite simple, intentionally lessen the accuracy of a given system in order to save energy, memory and/or time.
- Concept explanation
- How to apply it on systems
- Why is it a hot research topic lately
Speaker
Sara A. Metwalli is a researcher in AQUA (Advancing Quantum Architecture) group at Keio University and IBM. She had her masters degree in Information and Communications Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology.
